Meet Rev. Diane Sickler   52259080E

Rev. Diane Sickler is our retired Spiritual Adviser & Senior minister retired and sometimes here at Unity in the Southern Tier, sharing her time and many talents with Unity NEPA. She no longer with us the first and third Sundays of every month, consults with our Unity Board of Trustees and on the first Sunday of every month, following our main service, Rev. Diane shares her knowledge of Unity with us in informative and uplifting classes that are free and open to anyone who wishes to attend.
Diane Sickler was ordained by The Association of Unity Churches in 1978; she has a Masters of Theology degree from Eden Theological Seminary, class of 1996.
Diane has been an active Unity minister ever since her ordination.  She has served as senior minister at Unity Church of Maui, [Hawaii (1978-1979)]; Unity Church of Christianity, [Moline, Illinois and Bettendorf, Iowa (1979-1987)]; Unity Church of Crystal Lake, [Illinois (1987-1988)]; Unity Church of Peace, [St. Louis, Missouri (1988-2005)]; and Unity of NEPA [Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (2007 – now)].
Diane is a Past-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Unity Churches having served in that capacity June of 2001- June of 2002.  She is currently Chair of Unity Worldwide Ministries Bylaws committee.
Diane has a long history in Unity which includes being raised in Unity Sunday School and Youth of Unity activities.  After graduating from Florida State University in 1969 she volunteered as a Sunday School Teacher, became a Youth of Unity Sponsor and a Sunday School Superintendent.  In 1976 she gave up a lucrative career in Data Processing to enter the ministry.

Art is the retired Pastor of the First Congregational Church in whose building we meet, and he is a featured speaker for us once each month. His messages are inspiring and in keeping with Unity principles in every way, and give us all much to think about. Here is the web address for his church:

Meet our Speaker Rev. Jyoti Kessler

biophoto2Ithaca, NY based singer/ songwriter Jody Kessler left a career as a schoolteacher in 1995 to become a full-time performing artist. Since then, she has released four CDs, Another Day of Loving, Leap of Faith, No Solid Ground, and most recently, Bare Bones. Her songs touch upon themes of relationship, connection with Spirit, contemporary issues, life stories, and the joy of being alive. Known for her insightful lyrics, masterful guitar work, and pristine vocals, Jody delivers her refreshingly original material with passion, sensitivity, and humor. She performs nationally in coffeehouses and folk venues as well as at interfaith centers, churches, and festivals. Jody is also an ordained Interfaith Minister. Rev.
